about

Music for Eric Power’s ”Path of Blood" was recorded at our home studio in East Austin during 2012-2013. POB is an animated action samurai film set in Edo period Japan. The score combines several different styles that illustrate the various flavors of the story and animation- rhythmic drumming, jagged electric guitar, analog synthesizer and sparse Mellotron orchestration reminiscent of soundtracks from the 60's and 70’s. To accompany the rich nature settings in the film, we used acoustic guitar, cymbals and an array of wooden and metal percussion instruments.
